You're So Autumn
03:55
|
|||
What an autumn season, comes back and never needs a reason.
It's always there to scare my summer away.
Tiny little leaves in great big piles,
we love your colors, yeah. They make us smile.
Yellow, red and green, and everything in between.
Won't you stick around? You're the season of our dreams.
You’re fall! and you’re so autumn!
Everyday gets better unpack your boots, and socks and sweaters.
You're favorite hat is back here to stay.
Look at all those colors, so many different shades.
The nights are getting longer and we're getting shorter days.
Love to see our breath or a yellow harvest moon.
Smell the burning leaves on a cold afternoon.
You’re fall! and you’re so autumn!
A warm campfire on a cool autumn night.
We love to see the ghosts and giving birds and bunk beds take flight.

The Giving Bird
03:43
|
|||
When the leaves fall off the trees and pile up high, up to our knees,
you'll hear the call. It’s big not small, the call of the giving bird.
From atop her mountain perch the bird flies down to town in search
of a table fit to rest where the bird can build a nest.
Tell me have you heard, the word of the Giving bird.
Sing us a giving song tonight.
Tell me can you hear, the giving call so loud and clear.
Let it echo in your ear tonight.
Ride the back of a silver cloud, a giant mash potato mound.
A gravy storm will keep you warm tonight.
The way that you appreciate is great so please come and clean your plate.
Oh Giving bird we have a dinner date tonight.
Tell me have you heard, the word of the Giving bird.
Sing us a giving song tonight, alright.
Tell me can you hear, the giving call so loud and clear.
Let it echo in your ear tonight.
Oh, Giving Bird, if you are able tonight,
Won't you please fly to my table tonight?
Oh Giving Bird please get here soon. The table's set and there’s plenty of room.
Oh Giving Bird sing me a giving tune tonight.

Gather round all you gentlefolk as i tell this tale, it surely ain’t no joke.
You’re not safe inside your home, or with your friends, no matter where you go.
There’s a beast that feasts with her pearly teeth, on all your favorite things.
And if you don’t believe, you can wait and see when the dinner bell finally rings.
It won’t matter if she’s out to play.
She smells it cooking from a mile away.
And when you don’t, don’t think she’s anywhere in sight.
You're going to find her at the table with a fork and knife.
Judy’s got the fastest spoon
this side of the dining room.
And if you don’t, don’t want to get left behind
you better make your move before it’s dinner time.
Listen, I know for sure, that the beast will come a-knocking at your door.
Asking you if it’s not a chore, can you please make room for just one more.
But despite her size and unassuming smile you can count on this one thing.
That a growl will rise, there’s hunger in her eyes, when the dinner bell finally rings.
She stacks her plate a hundred feet high.
Mashed potatoes reaching for the sky.
And when you don’t, don’t think another piece can fit,
She dumps the whole pile into her bottomless pit.
Judy’s got the fastest spoon
this side of the dining room
And if you don’t, don’t want to get left behind
you better make your move before it’s dinner time
She runs! She runs!
Soooo fast!
She eats! She eats!
But will not fast!

The Giving Prayer
01:51
|
|||
Dear Giving Bird, feathers brown and gold,
please take a sweater and don't get cold.
Your flight is long, and the night is dark,
i hear your song play inside my heart.
I hope the moon shines up in the sky,
bright like whipped cream on my pumpkin pie
Dear Giving Bird, i believe in you.
teach us the right way to say thank you.

Faces of the Moon
02:25
|
|||
Have you ever been to the top of the globe,
the great big ball that’s everybody’s home?
You look to the sky and smile at the moon
there’s a great big face that smiles back at you.
Have you ever been to the middle of the world
and felt it spinning round the sun as all the planets twirl?
You look to the night and wonder where you are
and see the moon is lying in a blanket full of stars
My moon’s always there for me to care for me to dare to dream
My moon she smiles so bright.
Have you ever been to the bottom of the earth,
and wondered where your place was in the universe?
You look to the moon and think you see a frown
But you quickly realize that her face is upside down.
Have you ever flown to the surface of the moon
to see the planet earth is looking back at you?
a pale blue dot just floating in the sky
carrying the dreams of everyone alive.
My moon’s always there for me to care for me to dare to dream.
My moon she smiles so bright.

Come to our party and you can savor
the spiciest, nice-iest taste sensation.
Take your mouth on a little vacation
Pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread.
We can wear pumpkins on our heads.
We can eat pumpkin everything.
And dance, and scream, and shout, and sing.
You're cordially invited to a potluck.
Won't you please bring something you can make?
But what you bring needs to be made of pumpkins.
So tell us what you think you're gonna take.
Pumpkin pizza! Yeah!
Pumpkin strudel! Yeah!
Pumpkin nachos! Yeah!
Pumpkin noodles! Yeah!
Pumpkin burgers! Yeah!
Pumpkin fries! Yeah!
Pumpkin hot dogs! Yeah!
Pumpkin pies! Yeah!
Cut the top.
Scoop it out.
Plant the seeds.
Make them sprout.
Bake the rest
in a pie.
Have a potluck
for you and I.
There's never been a potluck so fun.
So glad we invited everyone.
Pumpkins as far as we can see.
Pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread.
We can wear pumpkins on our heads.
We can eat pumpkin everything.
And dance, and scream, and shout, and sing
Thanks a lot for coming to our potluck.
The dish you brought made it extra great.
Next year we’ll have twice as many pumpkins.
So won't you please make sure you save the date.

The Wind and the Moon
01:21
|
|||
At night when you feel all alone.
the wind and the moon are outside your home.
Dancing and singing a song so you sleep.
Carry you off and into your dreams.

Sweater Weather
02:43
|
|||
I wear sweaters on my chest and arms.
I wear sweaters. They keep my body warm
Whether the weather is for sweaters or not,
my love for sweaters has tangled my heart in knots.
